A recent incident occurred in the library where an unknown individual asked a student to lend their mobile phone to gain access to the library. Out of kindness, the student agreed, but the individual briefly took the phone away before it was eventually recovered.
To protect your personal property and information security, please remain vigilant:
- Do not lend your mobile phone, student ID card, staff ID card, or other personal identification to strangers.
- Do not use your ID card to grant library or campus access to others.
- Do not assist strangers in logging into library computers or any systems requiring personal accounts and passwords.
- If approached by a stranger requesting assistance, politely decline and report the situation to the Campus Security Center or the Library Service Desk immediately.
Kindness is appreciated, but your personal safety and information security should always come first. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and secure campus and library environment.
