Want to break free from textbook boundaries and design your own credits? The Office of Academic Affairs is now actively seeking proposals for the Professional Independent Study Program! Whether you want to conduct research, enter competitions, or earn certifications—if you have an idea, we provide the stage and the credits!

Application Deadline: March 20, 2026 (Please submit your proposal to the Office of Academic Affairs at R1208 before the deadline. Don’t miss out!)

🛠 3 Steps to Build Your Learning Blueprint:

  1. Build the Foundation: Enroll in the "Introduction to Independent Study" course to learn how to set goals and draft a professional proposal.
  2. Navigate Your Practice: Execute your project and discuss progress with your mentor, accumulating results through reflection and adjustment.
  3. Reap the Rewards: After passing the review, you can earn up to 3 Elective Credits!

Core Project Categories:

  • Research-based: Deep dive into professional fields and apply theory to practical scenarios.
  • Competition-based: Challenge yourself in interdisciplinary contests to enhance innovation and hands-on skills.
  • Certification-based: Strategize your learning to obtain professional certificates and jumpstart your career.

📌 Important Reminders:

  • Credit Recognition: These credits count toward graduation. Specific recognition methods depend on each department's "Required and Elective Course List."
  • Grading: Results will appear as "Pass/Fail" on your transcript and will not be calculated into your GPA.
  • Submission: During the pilot phase, please submit your completed proposal to the Office of Academic Affairs (R1208). We will then forward it to your department for review.
