A power outage occurred on campus this morning. After inspection, a fault was identified in the power supply line between the Main Substation and Substation B (located behind Building 5), resulting in a loss of power to Buildings 2, 5, and 6.
The Office of General Affairs has immediately arranged for emergency repair work. Temporary overhead power cables will be installed to expedite the restoration of electricity. Power is expected to be restored as early as after working hours on Tuesday, August 11. The actual restoration time will depend on the progress of the repair work.
As the repair work will take several working days, all units and staff working in Buildings 2, 5, and 6 are advised to make arrangements for temporary off-site or alternative work locations in advance to minimize disruption to their work.
