2026 10th Golden Plastics Award

“I Can! I Go Plastic-Free!” Creative Competition

To celebrate Earth Day 2026, themed “Earth Power”, the 10th Golden Plastics Award – “I Can! I Go Plastic-Free!” invites the public to take action through everyday choices and practices that support sustainability.

In response to UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, this year’s competition focuses on the theme of “Plastic-Free Wardrobe.” Participants are encouraged to reflect on the relationship between clothing consumption and environmental sustainability through actions such as mindful clothing choices, garment care, repair and redesign, reuse, and clothing exchange or sharing. The goal is to foster a lifestyle that values clothing, reduces waste, and promotes responsible consumption.

Now entering its 10th year, the Golden Plastics Award features two competition categories:

  • Picture Book Category
Designed for young children as the primary audience, this category encourages participants to convey ideas of cherishing clothing and sustainable living through storytelling and illustrations.
  • Plastic-Free Wardrobe Action Category
This category emphasizes real-life practice. Participants are encouraged to take concrete actions such as wardrobe audits, clothing maintenance, and reducing unnecessary purchases, and to document both their action process and outcomes.
