AREE has published a Chinese-language eBook titled “The U.S. Text Recycling Project – Best Practices and Guidelines for STEM Research Writing.” We welcome educators, researchers, and students to explore and utilize this resource.

  • Overview:

With the increasing use of text similarity detection software by academic journals and research institutions, many cases of text reuse have come to light. However, the academic community has yet to reach a consensus on the ethical boundaries of text recycling. In response, Professor Cary Moskovitz of Duke University led a cross-institutional research team to conduct the Text Recycling Research Project (TRRP), funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation. The project provides in-depth analysis of text reuse in STEM research and offers tailored best practices and guidelines for researchers, journal editors, and educators.

Authorized by the TRRP, Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council translated the project’s findings for local reference. The eBook and related microlearning materials were produced by AREE to support academic integrity education in Taiwan.
