  • Topic: The Interaction Between University Ranking Systems and Research Evaluation Regimes: A Bibliometric Perspective.
  • Speaker:
    • Ming-Li Chen, Associate Research Fellow
    • Science & Technology Policy Research and Information Center (STPI), National Applied Research Laboratories (NARLabs)
  • Introduction: Starting with university ranking systems—the most widely adopted application of bibliometrics—this lecture analyzes how global university rankings shape the paradigms of scholarly communication. It will introduce recent international initiatives advocating for research assessment reform. In addition to addressing issues related to academic integrity, the talk will further explore the pivotal role of research evaluation systems in guiding diverse and sustainable scientific research activities.
