1. Purpose
This program encourages domestic universities and youth groups to volunteer at Chinese schools in Southeast Asia, expanding the international perspective of Taiwanese youth. Volunteers will communicate directly with the schools to discuss service needs and apply for funding after confirming their service plans.

2. Volunteer Needs
There are 62 volunteer positions across 9 schools in Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Service areas include:

  • Chinese Education: Summer camps, teaching Chinese language, and activities for children.
  • Cultural Promotion: Calligraphy, traditional dance, Chinese music, and Taiwanese culture.
  • IT Services: Science experiments, programming, AI, website design, and multimedia teaching.
  • Library Services: Assisting with library operations.
  • Other: Classroom decoration, scouting, etc.
    Service period: July to September 2025.

3. Funding Details

  • Target Group: University teams of 18-30-year-olds.
  • Team Size: At least 2 members, with half of the team being Taiwanese nationals.
  • Funding Amount: Up to NT$10,000 per volunteer, with a maximum of NT$80,000 per team. Teams must raise 20% of the total budget.

4. Application Process

  • Deadline: By April 15, 2025 (postmarked).
  • Submission: Submit applications in writing via the university, including application forms, budget, volunteer list, service plan, and school agreement.
  • Required Documents: Application form, budget, volunteer list, service plan, agreement, and SDGs relevance checklist.
