1. According to epidemic surveillance data from the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control (CDC), domestic COVID-19 activity is rising, and global positivity rates have also shown an upward trend recently. Coupled with the summer vacation travel season, the risk of disease transmission has increased. To continuously safeguard against the summer outbreak, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the Ministry of Health and Welfare has approved extending the expanded eligibility measure for public-funded COVID-19 vaccination (available to all individuals aged 6 months and older who have not yet been vaccinated) until September 28, 2026.
  2. Additionally, regarding contracted hospitals handling the "Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine Public-to-Self-Pay Transition Operation," Taiwan CDC will issue a separate notice to these hospitals to extend the suspension of this self-pay program until September 30, 2026, in conjunction with the implementation of the 2026-2027 COVID-19 Vaccination Program.
